FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Sixteen questions we hear most, answered plainly.
What kinds of business loans does Any Business Loan cover?
All the main families: property-secured loans (first and second mortgages, caveat, bridging, private, development and construction), cash flow and unsecured lending (lines of credit, overdrafts, short-term, revenue-based, low doc, bad credit and ATO debt loans), trade and receivables finance (trade, import, export, purchase order, inventory, invoice and debtor finance), asset finance (equipment, vehicles, trucks, machinery, technology, green upgrades) and growth lending (acquisitions, franchises, fit-outs, buyouts, contracts, consolidation and refinancing).
How much can I borrow?
Property-secured business loans range from $20,000 to $5,000,000. Unsecured, cash flow and line-of-credit options for trading businesses typically run from $5,000 to $500,000, sized on turnover and bank statements. Asset and trade finance are sized on the asset or transaction.
Does enquiring affect my credit score?
No. There's no credit check when you first enquire. A credit check is only discussed if you decide to go ahead with an application.
Will my details be sent to lots of lenders?
No. One specialist reads your enquiry and calls you. We don't auction or blast your details out to a crowd of lenders.
Do you publish interest rates?
No. Every loan is priced on the borrower's circumstances, so a published figure would mislead more people than it helped. We'll explain the full cost of any option in dollars.
I don't know which loan I need. Can I still enquire?
Yes. Tell us what the money is for and roughly how much. Working out the right entry in the directory is our job. You can also try the five-question matcher first.
Can I get a business loan with bad credit?
Often, yes. Past credit issues are considered case by case, and property security widens the options considerably.
Can a loan be used to pay an ATO debt?
Yes. ATO debts are considered case by case. It's worth comparing a loan with an ATO payment plan, as general interest charge incurred from 1 July 2025 is no longer tax deductible.
Do I need property to borrow?
No. Unsecured, cash flow, asset and invoice finance don't need property. Property simply widens the options and the amounts available.
What if my tax returns aren't up to date?
Low doc lenders and property-secured lenders can often work with BAS, bank statements or an accountant's letter instead of full financials.
Can a new business borrow?
It's harder without trading history, but property-secured lending, equipment finance, franchise finance and buying an existing business are all realistic routes.
Can sole traders apply?
Yes. Sole traders, partnerships, trusts and companies can all borrow for business purposes.
Are these loans for personal use?
No. Everything on this site is for business purposes only.
What documents will I need?
It depends on the loan type. At minimum: ID, ABN details, a clear purpose and evidence of how you'll repay. Our documents checklist guide lists what each type of lender asks for.
Why does the form ask about property?
Because property ownership decides which shelf of the directory is open to you. Please answer accurately so we can match you properly first time.
